2009-2010 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM
The Borough will soon be commencing with the 2009 Street Improvement Program. The Program is partially funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid Infrastructure (Discretionary Aid) Funding, FY2009 and the Camden County Community Development Block Grant Program, Years 30 and 31.The Program consists of the following:
Contract No. 1 - Reconstruction of Second Avenue from Phase II (between Kingston Avenue and Albany Avenue) to Austin Avenue.
The Contractor, American Asphalt Company of W. Collingswood Heights, New Jersey, anticipates commencing with construction the week of July 27, 2009.Contract No. 2 - Selective Driveway Replacements along Trinity Place (continuation of past project from Scheina Lane to Clements Bridge Road)
Reconstruction of the following intersections:
- Fifth Avenue and Reading Avenue
- Fourth Avenue and Reading Avenue
- Albertson Avenue and Dubois Avenue
Chesterfield Road and Nassau DriveThe Contractor, SMB Paving, LLC. of Deptford, New Jersey, anticipates commencing with construction the week of July 27, 2009.
The Borough Engineer, KEI Associates, PA., will notify affected residents prior to commencement of the construction.
